Since its establishment in 1963, the Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB) has always undertaken activities in development programs for its various organizations with the Institute for Community Service (LPM) -IPB. IPB programs for community service include training, transfer of technology, management consultation, and shared services with various government agencies (MONE, Deptan, Depkop and KDP, Deperindag, BULOG, BKKBN, Depnaker, MOH, Dept. of Transmigration and PPH), private sector and institutions international.

On August 3, 1994, IPB established the Incubator, marking the start of a new era in a small program that runs for 3 months of incubation per small medium business. The IPB incubator is named Agribusiness and Agroindustry Incubator Center (IAA-IPB Center) and provides special services for small businesses in agriculture.

In its development, PIAA-IPB developed into Center for Entrepreneurship Research and Development (P3K) in 2005 and expanded again into Center of Business Incubator and Entrepreneurship Development (incuBie) in 2011 based on Rector Decree No. 211 / I3 / OT / 2011 dated December 6, 2011.

INCUBIE IPB is an incubation institution for entrepreneurs who want to develop the company into a stronger and bigger company (agribusiness and agroindustry) but lacks capital, knowledge and other skills.

INCUBIE IPB conducts incubation process through daily consultation so that tenants become strong, independent and competitive. Such consultations include, technology transfer, business management, business plans, products, and capital. Tenant incubator buys a low-rent business space; entrepreneurship consulting, technology and business management, business plan preparation; as well as access to financial institutions (business buyers) and potential buyers (buyers) as well as facilitation of business licensing and product certification.
